Attendance is crucial to a student’s growth, so it is very important that students be prepared for class and on time. If a student is going to be absent, please call BBDC ahead of time to guarantee make-up lessons. Lessons can be made up at any time during the current school year. No refunds will be granted for missed classes.
Students will be placed in the class that will be most beneficial for them. A combination of age and ability will be taken into consideration. As the student progresses, ability is of the utmost importance, with age regarded second. Children grow and advance at many different rates; therefore, they will be enrolled in the class level most appropriate for their ability. Because BBDC strives to develop a love of dance in every student, class placement is not taken lightly.
The following dress code will be strictly enforced. No street or baggy clothes will be permitted in the class (with the exception of Hip-Hop) because instructors are unable to see proper alignment of the body. Students not following the dress code will be asked to observe class.
Leotards and tights are required for all classes (with the exception of Hip-Hop). Hair must be neatly pulled back and secured in a bun (mandatory for ballet and points), pony tail or braid.
No jewelry is to be worn.
An annual registration fee of $25 per family covers the cost of mailings, insurance, handbooks, and so on. Registration fees are not refundable.
TUITION IS DUE THE FIRST OF EACH MONTH
A late fee of $15.00 will be added to each account if payment is not received by the 10th of the month.
All students MUST pay the FIRST AND LAST tuition installment at time of registration. Last tuition installment is applied to June and is non-refundable (including early withdrawal).
Accounts will continue to be billed unless notice is given of class withdrawal(s).
INSTALLMENTS (IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ)
The dance season’s tuition is divided into 10 equal installments, unless you choose the “pay in full” option.
The amount of any single installment is NOT based on the number of classes for that MONTH; it merely represents one-tenth of the season’s tuition.
Tuition is calculated based upon how many hours per week annually, not monthly, you are registered for class. Classes run from September through June. Tuition is not based upon weeks per month but figured on an annual or yearly basis.
NO refunds or credits will be given for any reason. Any classes missed may be made up anytime within the current session (see Policies above).
